Battle: Android vs. IOS!! Which one you like?

While buying a new Smartphone a question always arises is “Whether to go for Android or IOS?” People also build a perception that Android being more popular is better than IOS.  But is it true? We will find out. Yes Android is more popular and mostly used Mobile Operating System. IOS takes the second spot and Windows and Blackberry users merely exist these days. One reason behind this is that Google’s Android comes with several brands in the market whereas IOS is only available with Apple devices. Starting with the most important benefit is the amount of Apps available on Google Playstore in Android as compared to IOS’s Apple store. The reason for this is that Android is an open source platform while IOS is not. Another most important factor is affordability. Everyone knows how costly Apple devices are in comparison to an Android phone. The amount of multitasking Android phone offers is far more than what IOS offers. Another reason why most of the techies prefer Android over IOS is installing custom ROMS. You can go for cynaogenmod or run other operating systems like ubuntu, Firefox and even build your own OS. It gives you the entire freedom to play with your device which is not the case in IOS. Also Google Now, virtual assistant in Android phones is more advanced than IOS’s Siri. Also the amount of customization Android offers is far better than IOS. You can use different launchers and enjoy the feel of modifying your own Smartphone. Also the amount of storage that Android Phones offer you is much more than IOS in less price.

The main difference between Android and IOS or to be more specific Google and Apple in business prospective is that Apple earns by selling hardware while Google earns while selling software. The entire approach for generating revenues is different. Google earns through adds while Apple earns through purchases from its App-store, iTunes etc. Where IOS stands out is the quality and experience. Apps built for IOS are far better in terms of quality and service as compared to Android. Apple provides regular updates to almost all of the devices whereas Google does not. Another feature that lets Apple devices to standout is its synchronization between all its devices. Yes, whether you have an iPhone, iPad or a Mac all of them can be synchronized. Your data can easily be accessed through any of these devices. Another important factor is the security which would be the most important factor to some of us. Yes, iPhones are more secure than Android Phones and are less prone to malware than Android phones. List goes on and answers to this question lies within you. Choose on the basis of what you want and the kind of needs you have. Also ask yourself whether you are going for the OS or the brand behind it. Do share your answer to this battle. Snapdeal , one of the biggest e-Commerce company in India now also offers an option to book an uber on Snapdeal App. Snapdeal now trying its luck on everything now.

Snapdeal last year acquired Freecharge , a utility bill payments and mobile wallet service provider , for a huge $400 million which is one of the biggest acquisition in Indian consumer Internet history  Snapdeal has also entered into a partnership with Cleartrip , Redbus , Zomato , Urbancap offering its customers to book a flight , bus , hotel and even order food. Now also one can book an uber.  Simply means Snapdeal wants to provide its customers an overall experience. Just think of it as you need to travel to some other place , book a flight or bus as needed and then book a hotel and then  a cab to reach to hotel and you can even order food . All this can be done through a single App only.  Snapdeal seems to have  realized the intensifying competition and is also forcing other players to enter into a partnerships for trading their products and services on each other's platform. 

Recently in US , Uber also tied up with Facebook , where it allowed messenger users to book their cabs through messenger App only. Google in India also updated google  Maps App which allowed users to see nearest Ola and Uber cabs available. It would be now interesting to see whether the other big e-commerce companies like Flipkart , Amazon , Paytm comes with some similar options.
Snapdeal is also offering a discount of Rs 150 on your first ever Uber ride and Rs 50 cashback on all subsequent rides.

Prisma will soon come with video editing option

The App that is making the world go crazy since its launch last month  Prisma , will soon be offering video editing feature. Prisma , the smart filter App that was  launched in June this year on iOS and  even now  available on Google Plays store will be offering video editing feature as announced by Prisma co-founder Alexei Moiseenkova

So what is the App all about that is making the world crazy.Actually the App uses the Artificial Intelligence Algorithms  to turn your photographs into various styles of art using any one of the 30 available artistic styles . The App is very easy to use and lets you post your artistic photos on social media like Facebook , Instagram etc.

Presently , video editing in the similar manner is not supported by the App but the company has promised it soon. After which you could apply changes to your videos also and feel yourself belonging to a different world. Company speaking to Bloomberg , said that they are working on a tool that would allow users to apply the same artsy effects on short video clips  and update would be rolled out in coming few weeks.

Adding this feature will make Prisma standout amongst  other photo editor Apps like Google 's Snapseed , Photo Editor  Pro , Adobe Photoshop Express. Well , it would be interesting to see whether company would be able to keep its promises or not and maintain its reputation earned for a long time.

WhatsApp to take next step , this with new features such as sharing Music , Mentions , Public Groups and larger emoji..!!

WhatsApp , world's most used messaging App which recently launched end to end encryption for secure messaging is now  coming up with many new features in the coming months. According to German site Macerkopf  which has got access to latest beta notes the new feature to share music with your contacts.

This feature will allow users to either share music stored locally as well as from Apple music. But there are still no information on whether WhatsApp will bring support for other music streaming services like Saavan , Spotify etc. Now how this new feature works , when users share a track , the recipient sees a small player with album art. Tapping on this icon will allow the recipient to listen to it.

The other new feature Whats App is working on is mentions which works similar to Twitter. It seems WhatsApp want to cover major share of the market not just in messaging but much more. The next feature is public groups which allows users to join a group through a link.  Also the company is coming up with support for larger emoji which could be possibly similar to Apple's implementation in iOS 10. With these new features WhatsApp seems to maintain its control on the market by providing much more to the users and face no competition from other messaging Apps like WeChat , Hike etc.
